The grand opening of the 7th festival will take place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Pauza Palmovka. The opening marks the culmination of the festival's inaugural day and serves as the destination of the guided walk that connects Letná with Prague 8 earlier that afternoon.
During the evening, the curatorial duo Tomáš Moravec and Šárka Zahálková, together with the participating artists, will launch a season of artistic interventions and performances that seek to transform our everyday perception of Prague's locations through metaphorical thinking.
Immediately following the official opening, the programme will kick off with two live performances.
Faxen: Scalability Demands(for choir and unfinished building)
A live performance based on the Shepard Tone — the auditory illusion of endlessly ascending tones — performed by the choir Mikrochor under the direction of Lukáš Prchal. In this work, the Austrian collective Faxen sonifies ideas of linearity and infinite growth, reflecting on the tension between perpetual expansion and its underlying sense of inevitability and exhaustion.
Alena Kotzmannová: Horizon Walk
A site-specific performance (realized on June 16, 2026, as part of the exhibition opening), in which boats act as the primary agents of communication, conveys a poetic message about the possibilities of solidarity at a moment when infrastructural connections are disrupted.
